You can help us care for our historic church buildings
More than three quarters of the Church of England’s churches are listed, and the Church of England is responsible for nearly half of the grade I listed buildings in England. The total annual cost of repairs to historic churches is estimated at £115 million. The conservation of artworks costs parishes an additional £2.5 million a year.
ChurchCare is the Church of England’s national resource, adding value from the centre to support over 16,000 parish churches and 42 cathedrals. We are a centre of excellence offering advice, expertise and education as well as campaigning and fundraising on behalf of all those caring locally for church buildings and their contents.
By supporting us, individuals, organisations and companies can achieve their charitable and philanthropic objectives with the satisfaction that projects make a lasting contribution to local communities.
Every penny we raise is given to parish churches and cathedrals via our grant schemes supported by expert committees (you can find more information on our expert committees here).
