Supporting over 16,000 cathedral and church buildings of The Church of England

Procurement

Each year parishes spend over £200 million, in addition to paying for clergy and local ministry. Until now, each parish has been left to make its own decisions without much support.

The Church of England's new resource Parish Buying aims to change that. As well as offering a range of competitive deals, by clicking the link, you will also find short Buying Guides and other information to help you make better buying decisions.

Shrinking the Footprint has worked closely with the procurement team to provide green options for parishes. This included negotiating a deal for green energy tariffs with Good Energy, which you can see by clicking the link.

The Renewable Energy Group Buying Initiative is a way to purchase 100% renewable electricity together taking advantage of our joint buying power to make green energy more affordable. For this scheme you need to register your interest with parish buying by the end of October 2015. Click here for more information.

This isn't just about saving money. It's also about good stewardship in what we buy, where we buy and what we do with any savings generated.
