Sustainable Buildings

Reducing energy consumption lowers costs, releases funds to be spent in other areas and helps to reduce the volume of harmful greenhouse gases being released into the atmosphere.

If you're starting on a building project and want some guidance take a look at the Crossing the Threshold Toolkit and specifically the chapter on Sustainability.

National Energy Audit

At the start of Shrinking the Footprint the Church of England and The Carbon Trust produced a report to help with the environmental management of these buildings.   In 2012/13 a further audit was produced based on data collected through an online energy management system.
