Finding God in Holy Places - upcoming cathedral arts event

A conference on the place of the arts in cathedrals sponsored by the Cathedrals Fabric Commission for England will take place from 26 - 28th September in Durham. Topics will include: the tradition of cathedral patronage, dialogue with contemporary culture, commissioning and funding new works, cathedrals' arts policies and educational, spiritual and apologetic aspects of the arts.

Every year the Church Buildings Council receives numerous applications involving new seating. The variety of seating types now available can make choosing the best option for your particular church building difficult.

West Dean practical building conservation course May 2010

This year's West Dean course built on earlier events with a focus on the conservation of specific materials and the role of conservators as well as an overview of the conservation report process.

 

The West Dean programme May 2010 can be downloaded here and due to it's success we hope to run a similar event in the next year.
