Church Trails

Clusters of churches will often cooperate to produce visitor trails, perhaps also highlighting places to have lunch or visit en route.

Inspired North-East has compiled a selection of church trails to explore their region's churches, available here

The Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham has a selection of themed church trails available online

For a template to make your own church trail, see Spirit in Stone

The Church of England has teamed up with cycling charity Sustrans to produce a series of low carbon tours linking the country's Cathedrals and historic church buildings by bike.

The first of the new Towers and Spires series was launched in the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich. The 30 mile circular route beginning at St Edmundsbury Cathedral takes in 11 churches through the Suffolk countryside.
