Heritage Impact Crime Statements (HICS)

If your building is listed and has been the victim of metal theft, or any other crime it is important to emphasise the loss or damage to heritage caused by the crime in addition to the value of the stolen metal. Guidance on preparing a Heritage Crime Impact Statement and a sample statement are available below.


The Alliance to Reduce Crime against Heritage (ARCH), spearheaded by English Heritage, the Police and the Crown Prosecution Service, is a new voluntary national network that will be used to take forward a range of initiatives and galvanise local action against heritage crime.
