Our sponsors, Ecclesiastical Insurance Group encourage churches to be open during daylight hours and provide guidance and training on tackling and preventing crime in churches. You can access their advice on church security here.

As many of our buildings are listed much crime against them is Heritage Crime. Specific advice on heritage crime is available from English Heritage

If you are worried you may be a target you can inform your police neighbourhood team and tell them about your concerns. This will be used to inform decisions over priorities for the community in local policing. Find your nearest local neighbourhood policing team by entering your postcode here.

If you are planning to install security measures that will be secured to the building please contact your Diocesan Advisory Committee (DAC) for advice.
