Fire Precautions

A PCC's responsibility for the care of a church building includes looking after the risk of fire. The PCC should:

  • Undertake a risk assessment and review it regularly;
  • Provide suitable fire-fighting equipment;
  • Take special measures when building works are being carried out;
  • Ensure that checks of the electrical and lightning protection systems are carried out regularly.
