HISTORIC FLOORS GUIDANCE NOTE LAUNCHED

The floor of a church or cathedral can be one of the most significant features of the building. But how well do we understand the importance of a floor or the most appropriate way of maintaining or repairing it? Replacing an entire floor is a major undertaking that needs careful thought as to the impact on the fabric and visual appearance of the building. ChurchCare are therefore pleased to be able to announce the launch of a guidance note, developed jointly with the Society for the Protection of Ancient buildings, which addresses these issues in detail.
