About ChurchCare

Landshare and grow zones

The sharing of land is increasingly popular. There are a number of schemes promoting cultivation by communities or individuals on abandoned plots that can't be looked after by their owners.

In some cases areas of church land have been offered to local groups for food cultivation.

Landshare is a national scheme that brings together those with land to share and those who would like to share it.

Growzones is a community project bringing groups together to together to share skills, tools and produce to eliminate food miles.
